Committee of Recommendation
The Committee of Recommendation supports the DAP committee during the preparation of the symposium. The following people are part of the CoR.
Prof.Dr. D.F. (David) Bruhn
David is Senior Scientist at the GFZ-Potsdam and co-ordinator of the international cooperation on geothermal research between EU and Mexico. Next to his job at the GFZ-Potsdam, he is part-time professor for Geothermal Engineering at the TU Delft.
Dhr. D. (Dick) Swart
Dick studied Petroleum Engineering at the TU Delft and since then worked in different companies. Now, he is Co-Owner of WEP(Petrogas Minerals international and Well Engineering Partners).
Dhr. F. (Frank) Schoof
Frank is the president of Stichting Platform Geothermie, where he leads and professionalizes the NGO.
Prof.Dr. J.D.A.M. (Jan-Diederik) van Wees
Jan-Diederik did a PhD Tectonics at the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam. Then he started as a principal scientist at TNO and since 2007 he is also working as a Professor Integrated Basin Information System at Universiteit Utrecht.
Dhr. J. (Joop) Roodenburg
Joop was not so long ago the CEO of Huisman, but mid 2018 he decided to take distance from Huisman after 28 years. Now he is the president of Huisman and concentrates on innovation and client relations.
Dr. P.J. (Phil) Vardon
Phil is an Associate Professor in the Section of Geo-Engineering. He leads the department theme in Geothermal Science and Engineering. His research is into complex coupled processes in the geotechnical arena. He focuses on the impacts on soils / geomaterials of various processes including heat, moisture and contaminant movement, including practical applications such as geothermal energy, slope stability and radioactive waste disposal.
Prof.Dr. M.A.(Rien) Herber
Rien studied at the University of Utrecht and after graduation worked at Shell and the NAM. Since 2009, he is a Professor in Geo-Energy at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
Prof.Dr.Ir. T.H.J.J. (Tim) van der Hagen
Tim van der Hagen (1959) studied Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. In 1989 he promoted at Delft University of Technology and afterwards remainded at the Reactor Institute Delft where he performed research into radiation. Between 2005 and 2012 he was the director of the Reactor Institute Delft. In 1999 he was named professor of reactor physics. In may 2016 he was admitted to the executive board of the Delft University of Technology.
